My website is vroom.my. So in terms of aesthetics, of course this will be amended based on the new design.

I think the entire website is just off, including fonts and colour code. But do let me know your opinion on this.

These 2 website’s design are more cotemporary which we hope to look something like that.

Not so “fun” type but a mix of easy looking and a bit of professionalism.

Background

Vroom is a car portal website. When I received the DM’s I checked the old website and tried to understand the process and workflow. I found some major UX issues with a broken filtering option. We (me and my Client) Had a long meeting before jumping to the website redesign job. He ( The client ) listed many issues and sent them to me and I also listed many of them. Let’s explore everything together.

Challenge

Most importantly the website didn't have enough data to complete and publish properly. On the other hand, it was a freelance project and buyers want to complete this project very fast. As a UI & UX Designer, I know how much time I need to make a better website but it was a big challenge to explain everything to him and convince for enough time. Time is very important for UX, UI, and for anything.

Process

After conducting a few meetings and listing the problems it was time to get started on the research and development part. So initially I started with research and I took feedback from the client every time about my research and thinking. He was very helpful.

Research

Compared current workflow with a modern website and find out the points where we really indeed to focus on.

Share Report

After doing the research it was time to share my research report with my client and discuss more.

Develop

When we have a complete report about the updates and changes I started developing the visual design.

Deliver

In the final stage, I delivered the files to the client to do tests and approval.

Key Research

Key research is very important for any project. In key research, I always try to find issues from hard to easy and explore current solutions, and try to make something better for my project.

Results of key research

  • First of all, we indeed to make a powerful filter which will help our website visitors to explore all features and options in one place.
  • Very fast and quick search option with the most powerful option to keep users on our website for a reasonable time so that we can help them to find our best car for them.
  • A solid comparing option to compare 2 or more cars together. This comparison feature will help visitor to get their ideal car.
  • The broker program is the most important and useful feature of our website. In this program, we have a plan to sell more than before.
  • Price calculation option + Instalment counting option for the user to make quick decision.
  • We really need a very powerful USER INTERFACE (UI) design that will build trust and people like the website to visit more and more.
